Smoking to some people is a bad habit while to some people it is actually not a ad habit! The truth is majority actually believe smoking is bad. But truly, it is a bad habit! But you will agree with me that even some bad things have their own merits and smoking tends to fall within that category! The ultimate question is: does it help one lose weight?
In this article, i shall be going into details of whether smoking is good for weight loss or not. It might be a little hard to believe, but if you are an over weight person, the smoking can really be of tremendous help! Smoking will speedily help you to speed up your body`s metabolism and reduce the weight of your body.
Now that we realize that smoking can indeed help lose weight, it is strongly advised that one should never smoke because of it will do more damage to the body than more good. Cigarettes have been proven to contain harmful substances such as Nicotine. What Nicotine does to the body is fill the lungs up with various poisons and tar. Smoking will hinder you from breathing comfortably since it does a lot of harm to the lungs, why will it not hinder regular breathing? The major demerit it has for the body if not stopped at an early stage is the fact that it will eventually lead to lung cancer.
As I have explained above, I do not need to tell you that the demerits of smoking far beats the merits. For this major reason, smoking should never be explored as an option to weight loss. Since there are far better ways to lose weight like diets and exercises, why risk ones life by going the option of smoking? Truly, you can derive some temporary benefit from smoking regarding weight loss, but the damage it will do to the body at the end far outweighs the temporary merit if offers. Moreover, you could lose your life smoking!
Most people keep smoking not because they are addicted to it, but majorly because they feel if they quit smoking, the will start gaining weight, how far they are from the truth! The truth is very few people ever gain weight after the quit smoking, so why should you believe otherwise?
Moreover, it has been proven that even while you quit smoking, you do not tend to gain weight after months of quitting, and that is even if one goes back to such unhealthy lifestyles such as eating fatty foods and junk foods and becoming lazy by sitting all day long in front of the TV. If you quit smoking now and start doing proper exercises like aerobics, weight lifting, cardio and stick to a healthy diet plan majorly consisting fresh fruits and raw vegetables you obviously do not need to worry yourself of gaining weight after quitting smoking!
So, if you have remained in the smoking habit all because you do not want to gain weight, i believe this article has done justice to that belief of yours. All you need do is quit now and start exercises and stay on a healthy diet plan.
You should always have it at the back of your mind that smoking will only help you smoke your life out rather that help you lose weight permanently!
